The non profit organizations that live at Lyn Lake create an energized atmosphere of artists, actors, and social activists. The Jungle Theater, Intermedia Arts, High Point Center  for Printmaking, SooVac, Pangea World Theater Company all are busy serving their diverse constituencies. The Jungle Theater was pivotal in starting the reclamation of the Lyn Lake intersection with it’s multi million dollar makeover of the old Knickers Bar. Today it is one of the premier small stages in the entire cities. High Point Center for Printmaking has built a spectacular new building to house their educational and printmaking capabilities at their new permanent home at 912 W. Lake Street. Intermedia Arts has been responsible for building community with its many installations, artcar parades, hiphop and graffiti artist projects. Businesses like  Schatzlein Saddle Shop, Smitten Kitten, The Ink Lab,  Rockler Woodworking, Top Shelf, Thurston Jewelers, The Corner Store, Sherwyn Williams and countless others have existed on the corner for decades. Recent arrivals generating fresh excitement like Robot Love and  ZRS Fossils have brought fresh life to the corner.
